Compliance

APPNIA members are committed to be in compliance with the WHO Code of Marketing on Breast-Milk Substitutes, Indonesian Law No. 36/2009 on Health, Government Regulation No. 33/2012 on Exclusive Breastfeeding and its implementing regulations.

Cooperation with Stakeholders

As the Government Regulation will be implemented across Indonesia, it is very important for all related stakeholders such as regional governments, companies, professional organizations, civil societies to have a common understanding or interpretation of the law and regulations. We are committed to work together with all stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of these regulations across Indonesia.

Internal Monitoring

APPNIA establishes and implements internal monitoring system to ensure that all members comply with all law and regulations to reinforce our commitment. This monitoring system is chaired by APPNIA ethical committee, which consists of representative of each member company. This committee convenes and reviews our marketing practices that would potentially violate the implementing regulations

 

Provide High Quality Nutritious Products

We are also committed to continue providing high quality nutritious products in accordance with the applicable food safety standard. Our members put high investment on research and development as well as new technology to ensure that we fulfill the nutritional needs of mothers and children in Indonesia. We also have partnership with professional associations such as IDAI (Indonesia Pediatric Society), PERSAGI (Indonesian Nutritionist Association), POGI (Indonesian Obstetric-Gynecologist Association), PERGIZI PANGAN (Food and Nutrition Society of Indonesia), ISDI (International Special Dietary Food Industries) to ensure that we have expertise inputs to support our product development.
